In the past two years, as a Software Engineer at KAPS Computing (Pvt.) Limited, I have honed my Software development and teamwork skills. In that position, I have helped design and develop different software like IPSuite, IPWeb, IPExchange, and Dreamlines.
As an internee I have designed and developed the OSP Schematics Plotter for Transcom (Pvt.) Limited. It was the final project for my M.Sc. Computer Science Degree Program.

Project: Dreamlines

Description:
Designed and developed the Dreamlines, a Prototype application. This was a platform and language independent charting tool.
Tools/Technologies: Java (Swing, JDBC, Applets, Java2D, JNI) C++ (Java to C++ Communication through JNI) UML (Rational Unified Process 2001) Rational Rose 2001 XML (Extensible Markup Language) Oracle (Version 8i)
Key Contributions:
1. Designed the application from scratch.
2. Documented all the phases of the application using Unified Modeling Language (UML).
3. Created Algorithms for different chart types.
Project: IPSuite
Client: Hewlett Packard (HP)
Description:
Worked on the IP Suite/Checker/Composer Prototype application for Hewlett Packard (HP). This was a standalone, data content management application with Dialog Based Architecture.
Tools/Technologies: Visual C++ (Version 6.0) Oracle (Version 8i) Bison/Flex Parsers XML Xerces/Xalan Parsers Seagate Crystal Reports Writer (Version 8.0) InstallShield Professional (Version 6.1)
Key Contributions:
1. Changed the framework of the Application from Dialog Based to SDI (Single Document Interface).
2. Code optimization of the application for better performance.
3. Developed the installation package (setup) for the application.
Project: IPExchange
Client: Hewlett Packard (HP)
Description:
Worked on the IP Exchange Prototype application. This was a standalone, online, data content management application with thick client based architecture.
Tools/Technologies: Java (Servlets, JDBC) XML (SAX and DOM) Parsers UML (Rational Unified Process) Rational Rose 98 DHTML JavaScript Oracle (Version 8i)

Project: Schematics Plotter
Client: In-house Product
Description:
Designed and Developed the OSP (Out Side Plantation) Schematics Plotter for Transcom (A well-known Australian company which deals in digital exchanges installation). In this project, user can draw the schematics (layouts as prepared by architects) with the help of mouse, and can also get BOQ (Bills of Quantity) and BOM (Bills of Material) estimation reports for each installation.
